Any new or returning JBE student who completes the required reading for their grade level by 8/2/2025, will receive an invitation to the exclusive Summer Reading Challenge Celebration!

Reading requirements are for the grade you will enter in August:

• Kindergarten: 10 picture books

• 1st Grade: 10 picture books or 5 chapter books of child’s reading ability. Audio Books count!

• 2nd Grade: 5 chapter books of child’s reading ability. Audio Books count!

• 3rd Grade: 5 chapter books of child’s reading ability. Audio Books count!

• 4th Grade: 5 chapter books of child’s reading ability. Audio Books count!

• 5th Grade: 5 chapter books of child’s reading ability. Audio Books count!
